Steering: Kenya requires right-hand drive
Every vehicle in our current stock is left-hand drive (LHD), sourced from mainland China, and Kenya requires right-hand drive for registration — so we cannot supply a compliant passenger vehicle from stock today. Tell us the model and model year you need and we will confirm whether an RHD unit can be sourced, with price and lead time, before you commit.
Duty & VAT
Kenya applies a 25% import duty on the CIF value, plus excise duty (reduced for EVs) and 16% VAT. Electric vehicles benefit from a lower excise-duty rate than combustion vehicles under KRA's current schedule. Rates shown are indicative only based on publicly available general schedules — always confirm current duty, VAT and any EV incentives with a licensed customs broker in-country before ordering.
Used-Vehicle Import Rules
Kenya enforces an 8-year maximum age rule for used-vehicle imports, measured from year of first registration — vehicles older than 8 years cannot be cleared.
EV Incentives
Kenya reduced excise duty on fully electric vehicles to encourage EV adoption; import duty itself still applies at the standard rate.

Landed-cost figures are quoted per vehicle rather than listed here — our stock turns over constantly, so any number printed today would be stale. Browse what is in stock now, or send us the model and model year you want and we will come back with a full landed-cost breakdown to Kenya.
